We welcomed Anna in to our Renforth family in the fall of 2016. Anna was born and raised in the quaint town of Paris in southwestern Ontario. Her pursuit of post secondary education brought her to the GTA and though life kept her here, she says she could never forget her small town roots. Anna spent a number of years working in an office setting but, like so many of us ultimately destined for work in the field of animal care, found that a desk job lacked the variety and meaning that she needed to feel fulfilled. She decided to dedicate her life to the protection and care, and to be a voice for loving and defenseless animals.
Anna completed her Certificate in Animal Care at Sheridan College with high honours in 2007 and went on to complete her Diploma of Veterinary Technology in 2012 all while working in various small animal veterinary hospitals. After graduating, she wrote the Veterinary Technician National Examination and became a Registered Veterinary Technician in August of the same year, a title that she takes great pride in. Animal Behaviour and post-operative orthopedic rehabilitation are some of the clinical interests that she finds most fascinating. Anna has a passion for continuing education in all aspects of the veterinary field and strives to stay current with all aspects of veterinary medicine. Anna’s maturity and composure in all circumstances (as well as her dry wit and sense of humour) make her an easy fit with the rest of our Renforth family.
Anna lives in Etobicoke with her boyfriend of many years, Mike, and their 2 kitties, Zander and Amelia. Together, Mike and Anna love to spend time with family and friends and, whenever the weather allows, out on the water kayaking.
