Joanne Cronin

Animal Care Assistant

When I look in to the eyes of an animal, I do not see an animal. I see a living being. I see a friend. I feel a soul.A.D. Williams

Joanne joined the Renforth team in September of 2017 and became part of our family without missing a beat. Her positive attitude, sense of humour and diligent work ethic make her a wonderful addition.

Joanne’s exposure to animals big and small started at a very early age. Her father was a Natural Resources Officer in remote areas of Ontario. From an early age she was involved in caring for orphaned wildlife of various kinds (wolves, bears, foxes, beavers). These days Joanne’s menagerie is slightly less wild, consisting of 2 cats (Molson and Milo) her Shih-Poo, Troy, her husband, Shane and her 2 adult children.

Troy became certified as a St. John’s ambulance therapy dog when he was 3 years old. Troy (and Joanne!) have been volunteering at the Dorothy Ley Hospice ever since. Joanne says it is an amazing experience that serves as a weekly reminder to keep life in perspective.
