Renforth Supported Charities & Associations

Renforth Veterinary Clinic is committed to bettering the lives of our patients and clients, our community and to animals around the world. Renforth is a proud supporter of the following charities, local and abroad, and local associations.

The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust

In 2016 our Renforth Family grew again as we became the “foster family” through the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust for Roi, an African elephant who’s mother had been shot by poachers. Born from one family’s passion for Kenya and its wilderness, the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is the most successful orphan-elephant rescue and rehabilitation program in the world and one of the pioneering conservation organisations for wildlife and habitat protection in East Africa.

PhaNgan Animal Care for Strays (PCAS)

PACS is a non profit organization on the Island of Koh PhaNgan, Thailand. PACS provides nursing and hospital care for stray, temple and wild animals that need medical assistance. PACS is a charity that is very close to the heart for the Terps. In 2001 Danya worked at PACS which was, at that time, a very grass roots organization. She worked and lived in the little bungalow that served as the clinic’s head quarters, hospital facility and lodging for the resident technicians. Dr. Terp joined her there at the conclusion of her stay and they worked together performing surgery as part of the organization’s initiative to control overpopulation.

The Mississauga Ringette Association

The Mississauga Ringette Association is committed to helping kids improve physical fitness, develop personal confidence through teamwork and positive competition. The Terp’s involvement in the ringette community has its roots in Danya’s life long passion for the sport. Danya began coaching with the MRA in 2015 but has been playing herself for over 30 years.
