Bogey (November 2003 – February 2017)

It is with sadness that the family of Bogey Hedderson announce her peaceful passing on February 6, 2017.  She was born near Kingston, Ontario on November 17, 2003 and about  January 4 came to Toronto to reside with Gail.

Bogey had a wonderful life exploring the neighbourhood meeting new friends, both 2 and 4 legged ones.  She soon learned how to use those adoring brown eyes to suggest and con those around her to take her for her daily walks, especially as she dropped shoes at your feet.  Her nose was very keen as she discovered “tasty” treats.  Bogey also sensed a storm before it arrived which saw her crawling underneath beds to get away lightning.  She loved to help her mom dig in the garden when the spring planting occurred and she had several favourite holes in the garden in which to cool down in.  She loved burrowing through the snow just for the fun of it, didn’t mind rainy days and had to go for her walk!

Bogey loved to go for rides in the car and quickly settled in. Her toys were strewn across the floor and when someone visited they were often presented with one or more to throw so she could demonstrate her fetching skills. She loved her food and especially enjoyed her daily KONG filled with apple or her orange balls containing kibble.

Bogey had many favourite spots from which she liked to watch what went on in her backyard & neighbourhood. Bogey knew where her friends who gave her treats lived and recognized the postal gals who brought her goodies. She knew where the treats were in the vet’s office and went boldly to suggest she was starving!

I have lost a treasured friend today but the memories of our times together will get me through the next days.

I would like to thank the staff at the Renforth Veterinary Clinic for all their kind attention over the years.
